Adoption Days are held every Saturday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at PetsMart in Macon, GA off Presidential Parkway. Dogs are available on Saturdays only. However, you may contact the Heart of Georgia at any time if you have questions or cannot make Adoption Days on Saturday. Cats are available for adoption throughout the week at PetsMart by speaking with a manager.
At the time of adoption, all animals are up to date on shots and have been spayed or neutered. All adopters must fill out an application (identical to the application posted below) and meet all adoption requirements set forth by the Heart of Georgia Humane Society. All aplicants must live within the state of Georgia and have a fenced yard with no chains, runners, etc.
The Heart of Georgia Humane Society reserves the right to investigate new homes and remove the animal if it is not receiving adequate care, has been mistreated, or if the conditions of the adoption agreement are not being met. The Heart of Georgia Humane Society reserves the right to refuse the adoption of any animal to anyone.
